The Finance & Property Committee Meeting was held on Wednesday, Apr. 6. Below are some news and notes from the meeting.
Street closures were approved from Jun.16-19 for the Cranberry Blossom Festival between 2nd St. and 3rd Ave,, as well as 11th St. through 15th St. and Chestnut. The use of Veterans Park, and other vending areas for the event were approved.
A request for the second annual Cheese Curd Fest was approved. The event will be held on Jul. 16 at Witter Field by the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters.
A request to solicit designs for future aquatics centers was approved. This will allow potential indoor and outdoor designs to be considered in the city’s best interest.
A liquor license for “Bottoms Up” Bar for agent Jason Berkholtz was approved. This bar will be located at 126 2nd St. North.
