National Volunteer Week

Mayor Zach Vruwink has announced National Volunteer Week, which runs from Apr. 10 to Apr. 16, and gives residents the opportunity to make an impact in their community.

The Volunteer Center has organized a number of volunteer projects at Mead Charter Elementary School and The Family Center.

Projects for the week include: cleaning the gym equipment room at Mead School, anytime from April 11-15, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.,  cleaning a classroom at Mead School, cleaning a kindergarten bathroom at Mead School, and preparing Mead School’s Community Garden for spring on Apr. 12-14.

Also available are preparing the Family Center’s playground equipment for use in the spring on Apr. 16.
