Ronny Cox to Perform at McMillan
For the City Times
Singer/songwriter Ronny Cox will perform in concert at the McMillan Library Fine Arts Center on Thursday, Apr, 21, at 7:00 p.m.
This free concert is sponsored by the McMillan Memorial Library Endowment Fund. No tickets are required, but seating may be limited.
Ronny Cox has been writing songs and telling stories for over four decades. As a singer and songwriter he has released five albums of country and folk-style music. Most people know Ronny as the actor playing guitar in the famous “dueling banjos” scene in the film Deliverance.
Over the years, Ronny has appeared in over one hundred and twenty-five films and television shows. Although Ronny is a nice guy, he is often ironically identified with the villains that he played in the films Total Recall and Robocop. Library Director Andy Barnett notes that, “Ronny Cox is an extraordinary performer. Don’t miss this concert!”
