Area Community Choir Set to Perform Spring Concert

The Wisconsin Rapids Area Community Choir will perform their spring concert entitled on Sunday, May 1, 2015, 4 pm at the First Congregational Church, 311 2nd Street.

This concert will feature a wide variety of songs such as a Pete Seeger medley; a Carole King medley; Come Away (with words from Song of Solomon); Locus Iste; Precious Lord, Take My Hand; and more.  The Choir is under the direction of Cyd Cooper and accompanied on piano by Sara Rifleman.

Following the concert there will be a reception with light hors d’eouvres and punch.  The concert is free and open to the public; free-will donations will be accepted at the doors before and after the performance.

The Wisconsin Rapids Area Community Choir has been a not-for-profit organization since 2004.  The ensemble rehearses twice each month and meets from September through December and January through May.  Interested singers may contact Sara Rifleman at 715-887-2392 for more information on joining the ensemble next fall. Rehearsals will resume in September.
