Rapids Police Squads

Friendly Fight Club: At 3:09 p.m. a call was made from the corner of 3rd St. South and Pepper Ave. regarding five kids, dressed in all black, who were fighting. It turns out that they were simply goofing around and everything was okay.

Open Container: At 6:38 p.m. a call was made from a gas station on the 3600 block of 8th St. South regarding a man who had an open container of alcohol in his vehicle. It was noted that child seats were allegedly in the back seat of the vehicle.

Odd Behavior: At 3:32 p.m. a call was made from the 1000 block of W. Grand Ave. regarding someone inside a van. The caller stated that the person kept on looking in the backseat and was acting “odd”.

Don’t Drink and Drive: At 1:55 a.m. a call was made from the 2300 block of 6th St. South regarding an elderly man who was allegedly very intoxicated, attempting to get into his vehicle. Luckily, the man did not drive, and found a ride home.
