Police & Sheriff Calls for Apr. 24

Flower Thief: At 3:44 p.m. a call was made from the 400 block of Pepper Ave. regarding stolen flowers. These flowers were in a grill planter on the caller’s lawn.

Phantom 911 Calls: At 10:21 a.m. multiple 911 calls were made from the 500 block of 21st Ave. South. The calls were nothing but open air, and it was later determined that a 5-year-old was playing with the phone.

Father Knows Best: At 8:06 p.m. a call was made from the 100 block of Oak Leaf Circle regarding harassing phone calls received from the caller’s father.

Mailbox Bandits: At 8:07 p.m. a call was made from the 1500 block of 29th Ave. South regarding a damaged mailbox. This is one of many reports over the weekend of damaged mailboxes in the Wisconsin Rapids area.
