Robinson Park to See Lighting Upgrades
By Joe Bachman
A motion was approved for lighting upgrades for Robinson Park at the Apr. 27 Parks & Recreation meeting.
According to members of the Parks & Recreation committee, the lighting in Robinson Park, specifically at the band shelter and open shelter, are old and outdated. This also includes the north and south concession stands.
The current lights will be replaced by LED lighting, and they will sense motion and turn off or on, accordingly. The cost to replace the band shelter will run around $2,600, the open shelter will run $2,400, the north concession stand will run $1,100, and the south concession stand will run $840.
The replacement lighting will also extend to some parts of the parking lot, as well as security lighting.
