Police & Sheriff Calls for May 1
Grave Robber: At 11:00 a.m. a call was made from a cemetery on the 2300 block of Plover Rd. The caller stated that several solar lights were taken from multiple grave sites.
Hamster Dumping: At 11:24 a.m. a call was made from the 1400 block of 29th Ave. South regarding a hamster found in a cage, inside a dumpster. The tenant responsible for the hamster dumping was reported to have accidentally left it there and was en-route to pick it up.
Is it football season, yet?: At 5:23 p.m. a call was made from the corner of Chase St. and 21st Ave. South regarding two kids playing football in the middle of the street and “causing a scene” — the caller was attempting to drive through, and the kids would not move out of the way.
Revving Up: At 6:57 p.m. a call was made from the 1300 block of 23rd Ave. South regarding a noise complaint. The caller stated that a person was revving their vehicle in a garage, and that they were doing it all day long. It was allegedly a muscle car, and very loud.
