The Finance & Property Committee met on Tuesday, May 3, and various items were approved in the agenda. Below are some of the news and notes from that meeting.

The 2nd Annual “Run with the Cops” event was approved for Oct. 6. The event was filed by Eric Daven, on behalf of the Special Olympics of Wisconsin. There will be multiple street closures for this event.

“Race Across Wisconsin” was approved for Aug. 6 from a special events application filed by John Fanta. This event is held on behalf of the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters, and will see multiple road closures, as well as a rafting race across the river.

The Incourage Community Foundation Picnic was approved, and is slated for Aug. 3. The events application was filed by Jenna Moran and Tammy Salewski. This will see multiple road closures, and parking in the Centralia center parking lot. There will be vendors and hand, alcoholic beverages, live music and a petting zoo.

A fireworks display by Central Wisconsin BMX was approved, as applied for by Tom Prange. The fireworks display is slated for Jul. 9, and may see other displays in July and August.

The sale of property located at the northeast corner of Riverview Expressway and Lincoln St. to Kwik-Trip Stores was approved. The amount of the sale will be roughly $20,000.
