“Drive of Shame” Slated for May 14

Take an escorted, self-drive tour of the most impacted waters due to excess irrigation pumping and CAFO’s in the Central Sands of Wisconsin.
This self-guided tour is sponsored by the Central Sands Water Action Coalition and begins at the Fresh for Life Organic Farm in Coloma Wisconsin. The tour is titled “Tour of Endangered Waters” and will run from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The drive will take you past Hancock and Pine Lakes (both showing significant impacts from High Capacity Wells), around the Central Sands Dairy CAFO in the township of Armenia, back around to the Ten Mile Creek off of Bell Rd in Saratoga, and onto Plainfield with a stop at Lake Huron.
The tour will conclude back at Fresh for Life Organic Farms where a light dinner is planned for participants. This
self-guided road trip is approximately a little over 100 miles in length.
