Nekoosa Hosts Swiftwater Spring Fling

A full days worth of events is set to kick off on Saturday, May 21, all hosted in downtown Nekoosa.
The day will kick off with “The City of Hope” 5K Walk/Run for Mental Health Awareness at 10:00 a.m. Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. at Goodfella’s Pizza.
Free children’s games will be available in the Nekoosa UCC’s lawn starting at 11:00 a.m. Pulled Pork, Pizza, brats and hotdogs will be available for purchase. Dade Grode will provide music in the church’s parking lot and Karaoke Karl will be spinning his music in Thompson Park.
A Children’s Bicycle parade will line up in the Nekoosa UCC parking lot at 1:30 p.m. Bring your decorated bicycle, stroller or wagon and process down to Thompson Park where they will gather with PartiAnimal Cycle bikes.
A Bike Blessing given at 2:00 p.m. by Reverend Tim Miller will send off the motorcycles for their spring ride to finish off the day.
The event is being sponsored by Healthy People Nekoosa, Good Fella’s Pizza, City of Nekoosa, Nekoosa Police, Nekoosa United Church of Christ, Heart of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce and Partianimal Cycle Parts.
