Police & Sheriff Calls for May 7
Locked Out: At 12:56 p.m. a call was made from the 400 block of 8th St. South regarding a call made by a resident who reported seeing five kids attempting to break in a residence through the basement. Police investigated to find that the kids were simply trying to get back in their home, as they were locked out, and their mother was sleeping.
My Lawnmower: An inmate from Wood County Jail asked officers to watch over a lawnmower that is allegedly unsecured in his yard.
Parakeet Problem: At 4:57 p.m. a call was made from the 300 block of Apricot St. regarding a loose parakeet. No word if the parakeet was recovered.
Unwelcomed: At 8:11 p.m. a call was made from the 100 block of 13th Ave. South regarding a woman who stated that a man has broken into her house and would not leave. It was later found that the man still lives at the residence.
