“Swing Against Cancer” Benefit at The Ridges
City Times Staff
The third annual “Swing Against Cancer” enables anyone to take to the greens and help battle cancer.
The outing is designed to raise money for those struggling with the expenses of fighting cancer. The money raised does not go to research, but instead directly to community members.
Last year, 10 recipients were gifted over $13,500.
Riverview Hospital helps identify those in the most need of help, and checks will be presented that night to a number of individuals. Community members who receive help can use the money for medication, gas to appointments, or any way to lighten the burden of fighting their cancer.
There will be a sponsor golf and dinner on Jun. 26, and a golf outing and banquet on Jun. 27.
Admission for golf outing on Jun. 27 is $400 per foursome. This includes a 10:00 a.m. start, and lunch at the turn. Following golf, there will be a social and autographs from golf celebrities on hand, as well as the dinner banquet and presentation of checks.
Those who are interested in only a night of golf and the dinner banquet can purchase tickets for $40. This includes a buffet, Q&A with the players, autographs and raffles.
You can also sponsor a hole for $100 if submitted before Jun. 15.
There are also different event sponsor levels ranging from $500-$5,000.
