Spring is in the air, and with warmer weather comes the simple luxury of eating outside.

Lunch by the River will be in full swing again, and with an array of food and entertainment at hand for Wisconsin Rapids residents, it’s no wonder why this weekly picnic is over 20 years old. Cuisine and treats from all around the world from Jamaican to Italian dishes are served up by local vendors every week, met by live music and entertainment.

“Lunch by the River provides businesses the opportunity to showcase themselves in a fun, family friendly venue with a variety of food choices and live entertainment all summer long.” said Heart of Wisconsin Chamber of Commerce President Melissa Reichert.

As tradition, Lunch by the River runs every Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Veteran’s Memorial Park.

“Lunch by the River is the place to be every Thursday in the summer in Wisconsin Rapids to enjoy a networking lunch with area business people.” said Reichert.
