Child Hit by Truck at Ski Show

A six-year-old child is has been injured after being hit by a truck during a ski show.

According to a press release by the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, at approximately 7:44 p.m. last night, an accident was reported from the corner of North Biron Dr. and 80th St. in the town of Biron involving a truck hitting a six-year-old child.

A preliminary investigation revealed the accident took place near a large group of people attending a ski show. No names will be released at this time pending further investigation.

Spirit Air Ambulance responded to the accident, as well as emergency crews from the Biron fire department and first responders, Nekoosa ambulance, Wood County rescue, and the Grand Rapids police department.
