SWC YMCA “Help Ease Chronic Disease” 5K Bridge 2 Bridge Run/Walk

Runners are invited to support local cancer survivors and disease prevention through a 5K walk/run on Saturday.

Sponsored by the South Wood County YMCA, the run will be hosted in the spirit of stopping chronic disease. The race is also a celebration of the growing community that is Wisconsin Rapids.

The run will begin at 9:00 a.m. and run until 12:00 p.m.

The run starts at Witter Field, and then over two bridges along the Wisconsin River. Proceeds will benefit the South Wood County YMCA chronic disease programs. There are theree different races to run, including a kids obstacle course.

There will be prizes awarded for top runners. Interested parties can register here.

This even is a part of Cranberry Blossomfest, which starts Thursday and will run until Sunday. For more information please visit blossomfest.com
