Marshfield Clinic Health System

For the City Times

Beginning July 1, heart care services offered by Marshfield Clinic at Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids will move to Marshfield Clinic Wisconsin Rapids Center, 220 24th St. South, Highway 54 East, Wisconsin Rapids.

This change impacts Marshfield Clinic heart care patients who have been receiving care at the hospital location, as well as new patients seeking cardiology services.

“Being in this new location improves area patients’ access to expanded heart care services and additional heart care specialists, while promoting continuity of care for patients across the spectrum of their health care needs,” said Dr. Shereif Rezkalla, Marshfield Clinic cardiologist who has provided heart care for patients in the Wisconsin Rapids area for more than 25 years.

For current Marshfield Clinic heart care patients in South Wood and Adams counties, all appointments scheduled at the hospital will be provided at the Wisconsin Rapids Center location on the same date and time as previously scheduled.

“All current patients were notified by mail of the change, but we want to ensure patients experience as convenient and seamless a transition as possible,” Rezkalla said.

Comprehensive cardiology services include cardiology consults, echocardiography services, clinical electrophysiology consults and pacemaker clinic.

This specialty service will join family medicine, optometry, ophthalmology, oral and maxillofacial surgery, physical and occupational therapy, nephrology, oncology, otolaryngology (ENT), physical medicine, rehabilitation and lab and x-ray services provided at the Clinic’s Wisconsin Rapids Center.

For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 800-782-8581 ext.7-5301.
