Central Wisconsin Cultural Center to Hold Harvesting Class

Next in the Beekeeping series offered at the Central Wisconsin Cultural Center is the one-hour class: Harvesting.
Join this discussion on harvesting products of the hive — honey and wax. Class will start at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, Jul. 11. There will many subjects addressed, from various methods of extracting honey, the use of wax in candles and other applications, learning to safety save combs for next year.
Attendees will also discover tactics to look over their own hives for pests and how to deal with small hive beetles, varroas, and wax moths.
The last class in the beekeeping series: Winterizing your Hive, will be held Monday, Aug.1 at 6:00 p.m. at the Central Wisconsin Cultural Center.
