Christmas will become much brighter for the residents at King Veterans Home this year.

Following services on Jul. 3, the St. John Lutheran Congregation presented a check for $1,000 to Ronald Miller, volunteer for the King Veterans Home.

The funds were raised by parish members through door to door collections from donation efforts in May, as well as on Memorial Day. The funds will be used towards Christmas gifts for the veterans at King Veterans Home.

This is the second year St. John’s Lutheran Congregation participated in this fundraiser.
