Police & Sheriff Calls for Jul. 5
Clean Up: At 5:54 a.m. a call was made from the 400 block of Grove Ave. regarding debris from fireworks all over his property.
Potato Found: At 4:59 p.m. a call was made from the 600 block of 9th St. North regarding an object found in the caller’s yard that looked like a potato wrapped in electrical tape.
Shoplifter: At 6:50 a call was made from a business on the 500 block of W. Grand Ave. regarding a shoplifter creating a disturbance at the establishment. An employee was reported to have been chasing the shoplifter through the business.
Passed Out: At 3:06 a.m. a call was made from a business on the 2600 block of 8th St. South regarding a highly intoxicated man sleeping at the end of a bar and would not wake up. Police would eventually escort him out.
