A chance to ask questions of local officials up for election is on the way.

River Cities Community Access Media and the League of Women Voters of the Wisconsin Rapids Area are sponsoring two candidate forums on Monday, July 18th at 6:30 pm for the individuals competing on the August 9 primary election ballot for the positions of Wood County Treasurer and Wisconsin State Assembly 72nd District.
The forum will be held in the River Cities Community Access Media Studio located in the Centralia Center.

The candidates are:

Wood County Treasurer:
Heather Gehrt, Dawn Larson
Wisconsin State Assembly 72nd District
Russ Brown, David Gorski
“We encourage voters to use these great opportunities to find out more about each candidate’s view,” said Karen Schill, LWVWRA Voter Service Chair.

The forum can be viewed live at www.rccamedia.org, on Charter Cable SD channel 985, and Solarus HD channel 3.

The League encourages voters to attend this event or phone 715-423-0441 to submit questions to the candidates during the live broadcast.
The forum will be rebroadcast at various times on the television channels and will also be available “On Demand” 24 hours after the forum on the RCCA Media website, www.rccamedia.org.
The Centralia Center is located at 220 3rd Ave. S. in Wisconsin Rapids.
