The city is welcoming Wisconsin Rapids residents to partake in a presentation on the future of aquatics.

Tuesday, July 26 will mark a special event held in the Fine Arts Center at McMillan Library where options will be presented to the public regarding the future and investment of aquatics in the area.

“The purpose of the public presentation will be to present options the city is considering for a new aquatics facility,” said Mayor Zach Vruwink. “This comes as a result of considerable time spent discussing options with the YMCA as well as those our outdoor consultant has prepared through a general scoping and conceptual design contract.”

The event will also be recorded and replayed on Wisconsin Rapids Community Media. (formerly RCCA Media)

“It is a moment we’ve all been looking forward to particularly after the state health inspectors deemed Mead Pool inadequate to issue an operating permit this past Winter.”
