Wis. Rapids Man Faces Cocaine Charges

A 37-year-old man will face a jury in November on cocaine charges stemming from 2015 sale.
Iran Hills, of Wisconsin Rapids, is charged with manufacturing or delivering cocaine. According to police reports on June 29, 2015, a confidential informant purchased an eighth of an ounce of cocaine from Hills by the 100 block of E. Riverview Expressway.
Hills allegedly handed the informant a clear baggie containing a white, powdery substance later tested and confirmed to be cocaine. The transaction was setup via text messaging. The total weight of cocaine sold equaled 2.5 grams.
if convicted, Hills faces up to 12 years and six months imprisonment and up to $25,000 in fines. His trial is scheduled for Nov. 29, and he is currently out on a $5,000 bond.
