Man Charged with Possession of Hallucinogens, Methamphetamine

A Marshfield man faces drug charges after police found multiple controlled substances in his possession.
Cody Wallis, 21, is charged with possession of narcotics, methamphetamine, psilocybin, drug paraphernalia, and resisting an officer.
According to police reports on July 7, a vehicle search was conducted on the 600 block of E. 3rd St. after a K-9 unit indicated the the van the defendant had been previously driving contained controlled substances.
Underneath a white hat in the van officers found two syringes, one with a liquid brown material, two gem baggies with a white substance and a brown substance in them, respectively, as well as psilocybin mushrooms, a hallucinogen.
Wallis allegedly resisted arrest by stiffening his arm, refusing to allow the officer to put restraints on him. Two more officers were required to put Wallis into custody.
If convicted, Wallis faces up to seven years imprisonment and $20,000 in fines. He will face a jury on Oct. 5.
