Zoo to Close After Next Weekend

In an announcement on the city’s website, the Wisconsin Rapids Municipal Zoo will be closing for the season in a week.
Aug. 28 will be the last day for the zoo to be open this season which gives families about a week left to enjoy the many activities offered at the municipal zoo.
The Zoo features a bike trail, picnic area, garden, and shelter and play area, and of course, a petting zoo. There are other various animal displays in the zoo, as well. An enclosed building is available for public and private parties.
The Municipal zoo is located at 1911 Gaynor Ave.
