Two Vehicle Accident in Port Edwards

According to a news release by the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, a report was made last night regarding a two vehicle crash in the town of Port Edwards on County Highway G and County Highway 54 at approximately 8:44 p.m.
One person was taken by Nekoosa ambulance to the Spirit Air landing zone, and then transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. The other person involved seemingly suffered no injuries.
Alcohol may be a contributing factor to this accident, and is currently under investigation by the Wood County Sheriff’s Department. No names will be released at this time.
Assisting the Sheriff’s Department was Nekoosa Rescue, Nekoosa Ambulance, Town of Port Edwards First Responders, Port Edwards Fire Department, Spirit Air, and the Port Edwards Police Department.
