According to a news release by the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, on Sept. 1, at approximately 7:00 a.m., a call was received regarding a three vehicle accident involving a school bus.

The accident occurred on U.S. Highway 10 by the Town of Rock. The investigation concluded that the school bus was stopped, with lights activated as children were getting on the bus. A vehicle traveling east bound did not see the bus, or other vehicles stopped.

The driver, identified as Brittany Weber, rear-ended a truck that was stopped for the bus. Weber’s vehicle continued and collided with the school bus.

Nobody was reported injured on the scene, and the children were transported to another bus. Wood County, along with Marshfield Ambulance and Lincoln Fire responded to the scene.
