City Times Staff

The city of Wisconsin Rapids is accepting applications for auxiliary officers.

An auxiliary officer is one who volunteers time to assist and supplements patrol services. They may also provide additional help during special events, such as crowd control, security, or other functions.

Prospects will be trained on arrest tactics, pepper spray, and other defense and crowd control measures. Training, uniforms, and equipment are provided by the city.

Applications can be submitted to the Wisconsin Rapids Police Department, located at 444 W. Grand Ave. inside city hall.
