For the City Times

This year’s Community Book Sale will be held Thursday and Friday, Oct. 6 and 7, at the Wisconsin Rapids Moravian Church.

Now that the fall schedule has begun, take a minute to collect all those books, DVDs and CDs that you no longer need, and bring them to the Moravian Church for the annual Community Book Sale. We will be collecting books until Oct. 5.

The sale will run from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Oct. 6 and Oct. 7, and 9:00 a.m. to noon, Oct. 8 for the $2 bag sale.

The Moravian Church – across from the Centralia Center – has been the site for the sale for the past several years. At the church, if the door is unlocked, please take your books downstairs. If the church door is locked, please deposit books in the bin next to the door or to the left of the church door if the bin is full.

The Community Book Sale has been an important event in our community for many, many years, and we know that you count on it to recycle books that you no longer want to keep as well as a way to replenish your own supply of good reading material and other media.

Proceeds from the sale will go to scholarships at the Mid-State Technical College. The church is located at 310 1st Ave. South.
