City Chooses MSA-Supermass as Riverbank Consultants
By Joe Bachman
The Finance & Property Committee approved moving forward with MSA-Supermass as the consultants for the Riverbank project.
The project is slated to take place over three years in three separate phases, from 2017-2019. More information can be found here.
“Ultimately, it came down to three factors,” said Planning and Economic Development Director Adam Tegan. “The cost was competitive the other consultants based on supervisions that we requested. Two, they did the preliminary design, so they’re familiar with it and brought MSA on board — (third) MSA is actually the one who put together the riverbank grant proposal to the DNR.”
MSA Professional Services is based out of Baraboo, and does design consulting all throughout the midwest region. Supermass Studios is a New York based landscape architect who laid out the original designs for the riverbank project.
This decision will see a final vote tomorrow night at the monthly common council meeting, held at city hall.
