A 56-year-old Wisconsin Rapids man faces his seventh OWI charge after officers found him to be under the influence while driving in the Village of Biron.

According to police reports, on Aug. 14, officers were dispatched to the 3400 block of N. Biron Dr. in the Village of Biron in response to a motorcycle accident. They found a man, identified as Mark Krah, lying in the middle of the road being tended to by citizens.

According to Krah, he was walking down the road and fell to the ground. The officer observed the smell of intoxicants coming from the defendant.

Witnesses on the scene informed police that they observed Krah spin out on a motorcycle and crash in the roadway. According to Krah, he consumed five to six drinks from 11:00 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. before hopping onto the bike.

If convicted, Krah faces up to 10 years imprisonment and up to $25,000 in fines. He will make his initial appearance in court on Oct. 13.
