Candidates Hitting Wisconsin Rapids for LWV Forum

The League of Women Voters of the Wisconsin Rapids Area are teaming up with Wisconsin Rapids Community Media to host a forum for candidates competing in the Nov. 8 general election on Monday, Oct. 24.

Candidates running for Wisconsin State Senate, District 24, Wisconsin State Assembly, District 70, and Wisconsin State Assembly, District 72, have been invited to the forum.

The forum will be held inside the Centralia Center, located at 220 3rd St. South at 6:00 p.m.

Invited candidates are:

Wisconsin State Senate, District 24
Julie Lassa
Patrick Testin

Wisconsin State Assembly 70th District
Mark Holbrook
Nancy Lynn Vandermeer

Wisconsin State Assembly 72nd District
David Gorski
Scott Krug

The forum can be viewed live at wisconsinrapidscommunitymedia.com, on Charter Cable SD channel 985, Solarus HD channel 3. The forum will also be rebroadcasted on WFHR radio.

The League encourages voters to attend this event or phone 715-423-0441 to submit questions to the candidates during the live broadcast.

The forum will be rebroadcast at various times on the television channels and will also be available “On Demand” 24 hours after the forum on the Wisconsin Rapids Community Media website, www.wisconsinrapidscommunitymedia.com

“We encourage voters to use these great opportunities to find out more about each candidate’s views” said Karen Schill, LWVWRA Voter Service Chair.
