Riverkings Stay Hot This Weekend

The first place Riverkings solidified their first place standing with 3-0 shutout versus the second place Dells Ducks Saturday night in Wis. Rapids.

Riverkings Goalie Erik Schuette improved to 8-0 on the season as he turned away 25 shots for his third shutout of the season. Chicago native, Antonio Demacopoulos, had the first two goals of the evening and leading scorer Reed Kaiser popped in the 3rd goal for the Riverkings in the third period.

The Riverkings then beat the Dells Ducks 4-1 on Sunday, improving their winning streak to six straight games, and 14-1 on the season. Leading the way Sunday was Ryan Mantz, (Oshkosh) who scored two goals, Tyler Albitz (Akron, OH) who had a goal and an assist, Adam Peterson (Chicago)who put in the final goal, and Austyn Quarters,(Bozeman, MT) had two helpers.

Riverkings goalie Erik Schuette turned in another strong performance picking up his league leading 9th win as he turned away 30 of 31 shots he faced against the defending league champion Dells Duck.

The Riverkings return to action at home on Saturday Nov. 26 as they take on River Falls.
