A 50-year-old Wisconsin Rapids man faces multiple drug charges after police found him nearly passed out in a hotel room.

According to police reports, on Dec. 16 officers were dispatched to a hotel on Huntington Ave. concerning a man who had not yet checked out of his room and was not responding to employees. Police entered the room to find to identify Kevin Troyanoski lying on the bed.

Next to him on the end table was a glass pipe with burnt residue believed to be methamphetamine. On the coffee table, police also located a gem bag with a white powdery substance and 16 pills identified as Buspirone Hydrochloride 5mg.

Buspirone Hydrochloride is used as an anti-anxiety medication, and a prescription is needed for use. it is believed that Troyanoski did not obtain the pills through legal means. Troyanoski allegedly started to faint as officers took him into custody.

The defendant was out on bail at the time stemming from previous charges of felony firearm possession, as well as charges of violating bail conditions.

If convicted, Troyanoski faces up to 15 years imprisonment and up to $30,000 in fines. His pre-trial conference is scheduled for Jan. 27.
