For the City Times

Applications are being taken for the Lincoln High School Building Construction class to build you a home.

The Building Construction class at Lincoln High School has a history of building one fully functional residential home per year for an applicant. The goal of the class is to provide students the opportunity to get real life experience related to residential building.

It is now time for the selection process to begin for the 2017-18 school year. Applications are being accepted for a home to be built which would reside within the Wisconsin Rapids School District.

The process includes submitting a letter of interest to Daniel Weigand, Director of Business Services. Please mail or drop your letter off at 510 Peach Street, Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54494.

All letters must be received by Friday, Feb. 10, 2017. Those who submit a letter to the business office will receive followup correspondence describing the selection criteria as well as any additional required information. A committee will then choose a home that best fits the criteria to make the Building Construction class a positive experience for the students.

If you have any questions, please contact Terry Bores (LHS Building Construction Instructor) via email at terry.bores@wrps.net, or Daniel Weigand at daniel.weigand@wrps.net.
