Police & Sheriff Calls for Jan. 6-7

Problem Child: At 8:52 a.m. a call was made from the 500 block of Avon St. concerning a 7-year-old who refused to go to school, and was throwing a fit

Cat and Mouse: At 9:32 a.m. a call was made from the area of Reddin Rd. and Edgewood Place regarding a vehicle playing ‘cat and mouse’ with a school bus, speeding up and cutting the bus off.

The Breather: At 6:49 pm. a report was made from the 100 block of 100 block of Thousand Oak Rd. concerning a man who came to the door and was allegedly ‘breathing heavy’.

‘Laptop Thief’: At 9:44 p.m. a call was made from the 200 block of 21st Ave. South to report the theft of a laptop — after further investigation, the ‘theft’ was a misunderstanding, the laptop would be returned.

Jan. 7

Railroaded: At 6:33 a.m. a call was made from the railroad tracks on Bonow Ave. that a train had been blocking the crossing for well over twenty minutes.

Phantom Banshee: At 8:17 p.m. a call was made to dispatch concerning alleged screams heard on the 400 block of 2nd St. South. Other witnesses in the area reported hearing or seeing nothing of the sort.

Passed Out: At 4:00 a.m. a report was made from the 700 block of Lee St. about a man who was passed out in his vehicle.
