Last week, District 24 State Senator Patrick Testin met with Mayor Zach Vruwink to discuss the future economic aspirations.

Specifically, the two discussed workforce and economic development in the Wisconsin Rapids area at Alexander Field in their Jan. 13 meeting. They also toured various parts of the region, including the triangle development and future sites of the riverfront project.

“I enjoyed meeting with Mayor Vruwink to discuss economic and workforce development in the Wisconsin Rapids area,” said Senator Testin. “Thousands of hardworking people live in Central Wisconsin, and I am thankful for the chance to work with local officials like Zach to ensure that those people have every opportunity to succeed.”

“It was a pleasure meeting with newly elected Senator Testin to share the many ways we’re working to strengthen our economy and invest in our city’s future,” said Vruwink. “Government works best when strong partnerships exist at all levels.”
