Three Wis. Rapids residents have been arrested on charges of methamphetamine possession after a police vehicle search revealed multiple quantities of the drug.

According to reports, on Jan. 22 police investigated possible drug activity on the 1300 block of Chestnut St. Officers located a vehicle outside of the residence in question and made contact with the driver, identified as 26-year-old Seth Cornwell. Also identified in the vehicle were 28-year-old Ashley Noska, and 47-year-old Londa Nilson.

It was noted at the time that Noska had a warrant out for her arrest, and was observed tossing a cell phone and a plastic baggie back into the vehicle after stepping out. Police noticed a syringe on the floor of the vehicle where Noska had been sitting filled with a clear liquid.

Found on Cornwell was a black container containing two baggies with methamphetamine inside. According to Cornwell, he told police that he received the methamphetamine from Noska.

Police further searched the plastic baggie that was tossed on the floor of the vehicle and found two small baggies inside containing methamphetamine.

According to Noska, Nilson gave her the baggie and told her to hide it. Nilson was also allegedly the source for the methamphetamine found in the syringe on the floor of the vehicle.

If convicted, Noska and Nilson both face up to three years and six months imprisonment and up to $10,000 in fines for possession of methamphetamine. Cornwell was currently out on bond at the time and will face up to nine years and six months imprisonment and up to $20,000 in fines for possession of methamphetamine and bail jumping.

Future court dates are pending for all three defendants.
