Snowmobile riders and enthusiasts can help support local trails this Saturday.

In its eighth year, the Kellner Knights Snowmobile Club will present the Radar Run and Vintage Rally. The race pits snowmobilers against each other for more than just trophies, but for a good cause — all proceeds will go to local snowmobile trails.

“It’s a 100 percent fundraiser that goes to supporting the trails and maintenance equipment,” said Kellner Knights Club President Dan Guck.

The trails maintains and operates 55 miles of land for snowmobile use. The turnout can see hundreds of riders and racers every year, however that has always been dependent on conditions.

The event has been affected by the condition of the trails and if they’re deemed safe for use by Wood County. Luckily, the weather forecast for this Saturday looks promising.

“We have lots of local sponsors, and it’s a great way to find out who supports us,” said Guck.

The races will kick off at Anchor Bay at 10:00 a.m. and run to 3:00 p.m. Cost to race is $5 for one run, and $10 for three runs. For more information, please call 715-423-3426.
