Here are some notables from Tuesday’s Finance & Property meeting.

MSA Professional Services to Survey Witter Field

As progress continues to be made toward an aquatics center at Witter Field, the city has approved surveying services for the area from MSA Professional Services.

Previous surveying work on Mead Field is near completion, and in order to speed the process up, the city will make arrangements with MSA Professional Services to complete surveying the area. Aquatics designs for Witter Field will also come from MSA.

The total cost for the survey will come in at $9,975, which has already been budgeted.

County to Convey Annex Building to City

In preparation for the triangle redevelopment, Wood County has approved the transfer of the annex building to the city for potential future use, and/or demolition. If demolished, the county will contribute no more than $35,000 towards the cost of such a project.

In return, the city will transfer the elks lot to the county for additional parking use. By May 1, 2017, the city will designate 30 spaces for county employee use within the city hall parking lot.
