Police & Sheriff Calls for March 3-5
March 3
Aggressive Parker: At 3:27 p.m. complaint was made to police regarding a person who allegedly parked their truck too “aggressively” by a sidewalk in downtown Wis. Rapids. Police found no such issue.
Ice Chucker: At 4:32 p.m. a call was placed to dispatch from the 500 block of Wisconsin St. concerning a man throwing ice and snow into the middle of the road.
Idle Nap: At 5:46 a.m. a call was made from the 1100 block of 6th St. South to report a vehicle that had been running for over two hours. A woman was taking a nap inside.
March 4
Fast & Furious: At 4:17 p.m. a complaint was made from a driver by 17th Ave. South to report another driver has sped through a stop sign, pulled along side her and made obscene gestures.
Underage: At 10:28 p.m. a call was made from a tavern downtown to report three underage persons that refused to leave when asked to.
Fight Club: A call was made late in front of a tavern on the 100 block of 2nd St. North concerning a fight in progress outside. Police soon arrived to break it up and citations were issued.
March 5
Hyper Kids: At 6:09 p.m. a report was made in the area of 16th St. North and Norton regarding kids running through people’s yards.
Slow Down: At 6:51 p.m. a report was made of an erratic driver at excessive speeds in the area of Baker Dr. and State Highway 54.
Long Black Coat: A call was made from the 600 block of Wisconsin St. to report a woman wearing a long black coat walking in the area. The caller was suspicious of this particular woman.
