Police & Sheriff Calls for March 6-8
March 6
Phantom Train: At 11:29 a.m. a call was made to dispatch from 25th Ave. North and the railroad tracks to report that the arms were down at the crossing, even though no train was present.
Strange Noises: At 8:21 p.m. a call was made from the 1100 block of Fremont St. to report hearing noises from downstairs, even though nobody lives there.
If a Tree Falls…: At 11:36 p.m. a call was made from the corner of 24th St. North and Saratoga to report a fallen tree due to high winds that took out a power line.
March 7
Windy Culprit: At 11:00 a.m. a report was made regarding a sign that had blown off and had been laying in the middle of the road on the Expressway bridge.
Stumbling Around: At 4:35 p.m. a call was made from the 4300 block of 8th St. South to report a woman in a Packers sweater who fell getting out of her vehicle, and had been stumbling around the area.
Hangin’ Low: A call was made from the corner of Baker St. and 8th St. North to report power lines that were hanging dangerously low.
March 8
If a Tree Falls, Part II: At 12:46 p.m. a call was made from the 2600 block of Gaynor Ave. to report that a tree had fallen on their neighbor’s garage.
Church Break-in: At 5:14 p.m. a report was made from a church on the 800 block of 1st St. North regarding a broken window. The door was also allegedly almost pried open.
Intoxicated Disturbance: At 7:56 p.m. a call was made from the 1000 block of 2nd St. North concerning a man who was believed to be on drugs, laying on the sidewalk and yelling.
