By Joe Bachman
The Heroes’ Cafe was honored by The Law Enforcement Club of Mid-State last Wednesday.
March 8 marked a visit from representatives of law enforcement and emergency staff for “Law Enforcement/Firefighters/Corrections/EMT Appreciation Day”. Mid-State’s Law Enforcement Club presented a check for $767.35 to the Heroes’ Cafe raised from popcorn sales at Mid-State.
“I want to give my sincere thank you to all of the people that participated in this cause,” said Heroes’ Cafe founder Bill Haack. “As long as we have people like this, the cafe will go on forever.”
In total, 115 people attended the event. As a special note, March 22 will be National Guard Appreciation Day at the Heroes’ Cafe.
Heroes’ Cafe is located inside Woodland’s Church, located at 1000 E. Riverview Expressway, #120.
