For the City Times

Sitting ducks are an easy target for a many serious health conditions, causing a number of health experts to proclaim, “Sitting is the new smoking.”

Aspirus invites all ladies to the free Aspiring Women girls’ night out, “Quit the Sit” on Tuesday, April 11, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Hotel Mead in Wisconsin Rapids.

Physical Therapist Matthew Ironside and Athletic Trainer Danielle Kilps with Aspirus Riverview Therapies will discuss how to maintain your health by building activity into your day. Ladies will also sample energy-boosting appetizers and take home recipes and an Aspiring Women gift.

Attendance is free; but space is limited, and advance registration is required. To register, visit aspirus.org/AspiringWomen or call 1-800-847-4707. Attendees must register individually. Registration closes on April 4, or when filled.
