Police & Sheriff Calls for March 13-15
March 13
Dancing Heroine: At 1:33 p.m. a call was made from the 2500 block of W. Grand Ave. to report a woman dancing in the parking believed to be on heroin.
Sidewalk Blind: At 6:43 p.m. a call was made from the E. Riverview Expressway to report a woman walking into the direction of oncoming traffic and not on the sidewalk. The woman claimed she did not realize where the sidewalk was.
Bad Scavenge: At 7:57 p.m. a call was made from the 500 block of Maple St. to report a 13-year-old who had gone through his vehicle, though nothing was taken.
March 14
Erratic Driver: At 2:44 p.m. a complaint was made from the corner of 8th St. South and Griffith Ave. regarding a driver swerving in and out of traffic.
Suspicious Walk: At 7:10 p.m. a call was made about a man that was seen by the 1900 block of 27th Ave. South grab something out of his trunk and head down a nearby trail. The man was simply going for a walk.
Noise Video: At 11:34 p.m. a complaint was made from the 2900 block of Sampson St. to report excessive noise that the caller had on video. Police viewed the video and found nothing.
March 15
Whoops: At 1:32 p.m. a call was made to emergency services from the 1100 block of 19th Ave. South regarding a man who accidentally shot himself in the leg.
Armed and Intoxicated: At 5:49 p.m. a call was made from the 1500 block of 23rd Ave. South to report an intoxicated woman that had been attempting to hit the caller with a bottle.
More Erratic Driving: At 4:46 a.m. a call was made from the area of County Highway U to report a vehicle swerving in and out of traffic, nearly hitting the caller.
