Police & Sheriff Calls for March 19-21
March 19
Suspected Dealer: A call was made regarding activity in a parking lot on the 4300 block of 8th St. South. A man was handing out envelopes to those who pulled up and hopped into his vehicle; they were suspected of dealing drugs.
Private Burglary: At 11:04 p.m. a burglary was reported from a residence on the 300 block of 12th Ave. South, however, the caller wouldn’t tell police what was taken.
Don’t Be Our Guest: At 5:13 a.m. a complaint was made from a hotel on 8th St. regarding a man walking around in his underwear and causing a disturbance. The man reportedly did not know his name, nor what room he was in.
March 20
Illegal Garbage: At 2:46 p.m. a call was made from the 1500 block of 21st Ave. South to report someone who had been illegally dumping large amounts of garbage.
Out of Control: At 6:07 p.m. a call was made from a residence on Spruce St. to report an out of control family member throwing things around the house.
March 21
What?: At 3:04 p.m. a call was made from the corner of W. Grand Ave. and W. Riverview Expressway to report that the green and red stoplights were on at the same time.
Mold Emergency: At 12:28 a.m. a call was made from a business on the 4600 block of 8th St. South to report that a man was covered in mold and needed to be transported to the hospital.
Extended Stay: At 2:10 a.m. a man was reported to have resisted leaving the hospital after being discharged. He finally left peacefully.
