Law enforcement welcomed a new face to the force on Tuesday night.

Michael Burger was sworn into active police duty by City Attorney Sue Schill, while accompanied by Interim Police Chief Randy Jahns. Burger is a Florida native who became a Wisconsinite in his early years.

A Lincoln High School and Lakeland University graduate, Burger is more than ready to serve the community.

“It’s been a long journey, but I finally got where I wanted to be in the city and community,” said Burger. “I’m looking forward to making an impact in a positive way.”
