Police & Sheriff Calls for April 2-5
April 2
Garbage Tapped: At 2:17 p.m. a call was made from the 100 block of 12th Ave. South to report that someone had put a microphone in this garbage and believed he was being recorded.
Acting “Strange”: A call was made at 5:47 p.m. concerning a man who was allegedly acting strange by a business on Gaynor Ave. The man was simply on his way to grab something to eat.
Tiger Woods: At 6:14 p.m. a complaint was made from the area of E. Grand Ave. and 12th St. South regarding a kid hitting golf balls at passing vehicles.
Joy Ride: At 11:29 p.m. a report was made in the area of 8th St. South and E. Grand Ave. to report a reckless driver who had a subject hanging out of the window.
April 3
Hit and Run: At 10:24 a.m. a complaint was made regarding someone who had hit his vehicle while parked in the driveway.
Scavenger Hunt: At 1:09 a.m. a report was made from the 1400 block of Township Ave. concerning a man rummaging through people’s recycling and trash.
April 4
Missing Hands: At 8:48 a.m. a complaint was made from a church on 10th Ave. regarding a statue of Mary in front of the building that had her hands broken off
Erratic Driver: At 10:48 p.m. an erratic driver who had been swerving in and out of lanes was reported in the area of Baker Dr. and Highway 54.
Egged: At 4:22 a.m. a call was made from the 2600 block of 10th St. South to report that their car had been egged.
April 5
Thieving Tenants: At 12:48 p.m. a call was made from a residence on 14th St. South to report that evicted tenants had allegedly stolen a washer and dryer before moving out.
Whoops: At 12:38 a.m. a call was made from the 1500 block of W. Grand Ave. to report that a possibly intoxicated driver had pulled into a for sale sign on the property.
Knock Knock: At 4:02 a.m. a complaint was made from a neighbor on the 2600 block of 10th St. South to report a person pounding on the door next to hers. She thought the subject might be trying to break down the door.
