WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Growing older brings with it a new host of things to learn.

Help and Hope for Aging is a one-day free workshop aimed to help seniors and/or their caregivers discover resources in the community. This year’s session will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2017, at McMillan Memorial Library. Lunch will be served. There is no cost to attend, but reservations are appreciated to ensure enough materials and food.

To RSVP, email Jonna at [email protected] or call 715-424-4971. Leave a message with your name and number attending.

Sessions include:

  • Where to start when you have questions about your future and getting older from the Aging & Disability Resource Center of Central Wisconsin.
  • When it’s time to move, learn the Art of Right Sized Living from an industry expert.
  • Memory café can help keep your mind sharp with brain games, exercise and socialization.
  • Learn to live well with a chronic condition.
  • Hearing loss can have a big impact on your life, but it doesn’t have to with treatment and strategies.
  • Don’t just react to aging concerns; be proactive.
  • Some seniors find purpose and meaning throughout life by staying active, through social interactions, volunteering and more. Hear about vibrant lifestyles from a senior panel.

The third annual Help and Hope for Aging also honors seniors during Older Americans Month. Join us to be recognized for your contributions to our community, state and nation.
