WISCONSIN RAPIDS — Travel-hungry community members are encouraged to attend the next Speaker Series presentation from Mid-State Technical College titled “A Guide to Unguided Travel.”

Attendees will learn how to easily travel abroad with no travel agents, no advance bookings and limited luggage. The session is free and open the public and takes place Tuesday, May 9, from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. in the Community Engagement Room on the Stevens Point campus.

Seasoned travelers Jon Steele, Mid-State Marketing instructor, and Liz Steele, Stevens Point Area Public Schools technology integration specialist, will share tips and tricks for successful “unplanned travel,” illuminated by the couple’s experiences during their summer 2015 trip to Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. Tales of adventure and misadventure alike will make for a lively evening, and questions are welcome.

This presentation is the last this semester in Mid-State’s Speaker Series, which launched in February to bring the College’s expertise on relevant topics to the community. There is no need to register to attend.

For more information visit www.mstc.edu/mid-state-speaker-series or contact Missy Skurzewski-Servant, dean of the School of Business & Technology, at 715.422.5356 or[email protected].
